Ongoing Activities
End of summer cruise, September 22 2019
In May 2019, YVC! organized a rich and dynamic intercultural event in partnership with the South Nepean Muslim Community (SNMC), Temple Israel, and Soloway Write LLP. The event featured three guest speakers, the honorable Yasir Naqvi, Rabbi Idan Scher, and Imam Zijad Delic. Youth members got the chance to participate in a teambuilding activity at Escape Manor where they were required to collectively exercise their problem-solving skills to achieve a common goal. Following the Escape Manor event, our youth groups had lunch and engaged in discussion group activities where they actively reflected on their experience and the importance of what they had learned during their activity. The highlight of this event is the meaningful connections that were made to contemporary social issues such as diversity, multiculturalism, and the importance of learning from one another’s experiences.
